National Standards for Music Education
- Singing, alone and with others, a varied repertoire of music.
- Performing on instruments, alone and with others, a varied repertoire of music.
- Improvising melodies, variations, and accompaniments.

- Listening to, analyzing, and describing music.

Music at RMMS
Kindergarten (all of these are taught throughout the year)
Singing |

- drums - one or two 8 week units culminating in an in class performance and assessment

- chorus: elective extra curricular activity that meets from 8:55 to 9:25 one to three times a week. The chorus performs many within the school community at various events and at other events outside the school.
