Organizing With a Purpose: 2nd Graders Keep Climate Focus
Being stuck at home has not distracted RMMS 2nd graders from their commitment to a cleaner planet. Now they are learning the skills to stay organized and make a difference in a digital age.

Inspired by activists like Greta Thunberg, the 2nd grade spent its fall unit of inquiry on "Sharing Our Planet." As the year went on, efforts turned to how we organize ourselves. The pandemic forced RMMS to close the building, but students continued their learning from home. Now, they've managed to combine their climate activism with what they've learned about organization and how to apply their passion at a time when they can no longer demonstrate as a physical group.

Check out their presentation and see how RMMS 2nd graders are still making a difference!
