Greetings parents, caregivers and students of fifth graders!

Fifth grade is a KEY transitional year in order to get ready for middle school.  Students are expected to assume more responsibility, make better choices about using time and improve their ability to be organized.  Reading, writing and math assignments become more complex and students learn how to problem solve and analyze.  Following through on homework is essential to guided practice in all areas. Fifth grade is also full of exciting curriculum and challenges.   Nature's Classroom, Selborne projects, Camp Hazen and a major field trip to Plimoth Plantation are all part of the experience culminating with the Moving On Ceremony.
